How to Share Your Faith Without Fear, Part 2

This is Part 2 of How to Share Your Faith Without Fear.  Click here for part 1 of the Share Your Faith series.  The easiest way to share your faith is to let the Bible do all the talking.  We know that God's word is alive and powerful.  We know that it is through the preaching (proclaiming) of his word that people are saved.  Philip opened up the Word of God to share his faith with the Ethiopian eunuch in the Book of Acts.  So in this book we will show you seven verses of Scripture to share your faith and lead people to Jesus.

Step Two- Let the Bible Speak

Have them read each verse out loud and ask, “What does this say to you?

It is of utmost importance that you let person read it out loud, instead of you reading it to them.  Why?  Because if you read it, they might not be listening?  It is just as important to ask them to explain what they read, so that you know that they understood it.  If they misunderstand, ask them to read it again instead of correcting them.

Here are the Share Your Faith Seven Verses:

  1. Romans 3:23- All have sinned.
  2. Romans 6:23- The wages of sin is death.
  3. John 3:3- You must be born again. Ask: “Why did Jesus come to die?
  4. John 14:6- I am the Way.
  5. Romans 10:9-11- If you confess… you will be saved.
  6. 2 Corinthians 5:15- No longer live for themselves.
  7. Revelation 3:20- I stand at the door and knock.

Present them in the order they are given.  It will be helpful to have marks in your Bible to help you remember the order.  Or you can get the Share Jesus Without Fear New Testament either online or free if you come to our church.

If you want a full explanation of the different objections people might raise when you share your faith, you can buy William Fay's Share Jesus Without Fear book from Lifeway.

NOTE:  Nobody at Harvest Fields has a financial relationship with William Fay or Lifeway.  I recommend this solely on the basis of its merit.
